Say It With Flowers Blog Hop entry

June 3rd is my day to show you my entry for the "Say It With Flowers Blog Hop."  I would like to thank Madame Samm from Sew We Quilt and Carol from Just Let Me Quilt for allowing me to join such a fun blog hop.  Our sponsor is Andover Fabrics.

I've been wanting to make a "tree wall hanging" for a long time now and thought this would be a great time to do so, changing out leaves for flowers :)  I ironed on the fusible web to 3 colors of fabric and then got out the Cricut!
I was able to cut 3 flowers with the Cricut but then it got stubborn and would not cooperate, so I hand cut the rest.
Then I peeled off the paper backing and ironed the tree and flowers to the front of the white fabric.
For the binding I used Rae's "pretend binding" tutorial at Made By Rae. Very easy to follow.
Here is what I thought was the finished product.  But every time I looked at it, it was missing something.
These are closeups of the extras I added to the flowers.

Here is the mini quilt with tabs and below is the new version with added red buttons. I did not try any quilting in the white spaces as I was petrified of totally ruining the project.  Would you have added some quilting? and if so, what type?

Now it is finished.  Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog :)  Please continue to see the rest of the hop :)
